This means just the states immediately around Missouri?

Minnesota is Midwest, but it's so far north some people think we're part of Canada. ;-)
If you feel you are part of the 'Midwest' then you are more than welcome. That is what I was kind of looking for is that midwest feel. We are not the coast states, we are not the plains states we are the 'Midwest'.
Well, I guess I won't be moving for awhile, then. ;-)
it's the same most places methinks, i.e., ny residents not going to central park, i didn't visit golden gate park in san francisco all that much in the years even though at one time i lived like a mile away. btw, i knew someone from st. louis .... named bruce.
I recently move to Austin,TX. from St.Louis, MO. where I lived all of my life. St.Louis has so many touristy things to do and a lot of them are free or very little cost. The Gateway Arch, the Zoo, Art Museum, History Museum, the Jewel Box, all of those except for the Arch, are in Forest Park. Speaking of parks, Tower Grove Park is a great place to take photographs. It also is home to my favorite place for Sunday Brunch at the Piper Palm House. It's the oldest green house west of the Mississippi River. What a great place to live. I'll post some pics from...somewhere in the midwest.
