Meals for Dad, Muscle spasms for Mom

[this is good]
I have back problems and can sympathize with what your mother is going through. But I wonder about your dad - can't he take on more responsibility for his own care and for hers? Why are you running around making him meals? Perhaps he could use this opportunity to learn to cook a little bit, so he won't be as dependent on frozen meals, or on others to cook for him.

Anyway, I do hope your mother is feeling better. And you'd better take some time for yourself, too!

Dad does the bare minimum and I do mean minimum. Both Mom and he have enough close that laundry could go for a whole month with out getting done, but it doesn't because when my sister, myself, my aunt or one of Mom's friends come to visit they help Mom get the laundry done. Dad has done some but still not that much. As for meals I did it more because I like to cook, than because Dad needed me to. He had been fending for him self rather well on soups, stews, Marie Callander frozen dinners, and dining out.

For me, the hardest part of helping Mom out, was not being able to sleep well in a bed that was not my own. The rest was just hang out with Mom time, with a little extra effort thrown in, no big deal.
